littleBits is a system of electronic building blocks that snap together to turn ideas into inventions.–littleBits.com
A few years ago, I got the awesome opportunity to consult for littleBits, an amazing edTech company making amazing strides in the world of coding, circuitry and STEM education. On this project, I joined a group of 8 other educators and learning designers and we all met to consult on User Experience and engagement for young people.
Part of the project found us co-writing lesson plans with the littleBits team in order to help them implement and roll out engaging content to be used by teachers and students around the world. I was tasked with not just geeking out with this new line of littleBits but also got an opportunity to developing a google drive friendly lesson and resource library for the Rockstar Guitar.
After the project was done, I got a call from littleBits letting me know that they were looking for someone to get on camera and film the reveal of the product line. Since then, I’ve run this lesson with several groups of students.
